The 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix will commence at 8 PM local time, two hours earlier than previous editions, aiming to enhance viewership across the United States.

The organizers of the Las Vegas Grand Prix have announced that the 2025 race will start at 8 PM local time, two hours earlier than in previous years. This adjustment aims to attract a larger television audience across the United States, particularly benefiting viewers on the East Coast. The race is scheduled for November 22, 2025, with qualifying taking place on November 21 at the same earlier time.

In the inaugural 2023 and 2024 events, the race began at 10 PM local time. The new 8 PM start aligns the Las Vegas Grand Prix with other Formula 1 night races, such as those in Jeddah and Singapore, which also commence at 8 PM local time.

This change is expected to make the race more accessible to fans in various U.S. time zones. For East Coast viewers, the race will now start at 11 PM Eastern Time, compared to the previous 1 AM start. However, European audiences will face an earlier broadcast, with the race beginning at 4 AM UK time.

Local organizers stated that the decision was based on feedback and experiences from the first two races, aiming to expand opportunities for fans to explore the destination and engage more viewers across the U.S.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix, which returned to the Formula 1 calendar in 2023 after a 41-year absence, features a street circuit that includes the iconic Las Vegas Strip. The event is unique in being scheduled on a Saturday night, with practice sessions starting on Thursday, deviating from the traditional Formula 1 weekend format.
